Condolences to Ruth and all the Markowitz Family on the death of Neil. He was indeed a well respected dentist and the epitome of a Southern Gentleman. I enjoyed interacting with him on many occasions over the years at the BC Survivors Luncheons as Neil was a Benedictine graduate in the early 1950’s where he was an outstanding basketball player. He will certainly be missed not only by his dear wife Ruth and all the family but by his many friends. May he rest in peace. Frank and Glenda Rossiter

So saddened to hear of Dr. Markowiz’s passing. He was so much a part of my family. My husband, Freddie, daughter, Shelly, my son, Barry, oh and me were all patients. I really don’t know how long, I know till he retired. My whole neighborhood went to him. I remember the picture in his waiting room of the little girl saying, Please the Dr. and I want to be alone. I think our whole neighborhood went into mourning when he retired. We send our heartfelt condolences to all the family and thank you for sharing Dr. Neal with us.

Dear Ruth and Family, I'm grieving so at the loss of my dear friend Neal. We were friends in high school and into the passing of time well into our 89th year. Our last conversation was 3 years ago at Bruce and JoAnn Remler's wedding anniversary celebration at the Yaght Club. We shared much laughter! Everyone loved him so much. He was such and accomplished man and cared so much for our Savannah community. My personal memories of Neal and our friendship will be cherished. He will be greatly missed! With love and sympathy to you and your family, Jane Genevieve

Ruthie, Brian and to your siblings. I'm so sorry to hear of Dr. Markowitz's (Neal) passing. He was Dr. Markowitz's to me for 40 years of my life. I was so saddened when he retired. After his retirement, he became Neil to me and also became a client of mine. We would always catch up on each others lives. He always asked me how my parents and siblings were doing. We were all patients of his. He always had that beautiful smile on his face. Such a Southern Gentleman. He will be sadly missed. Rest in peace, Neil
